CATSKILL, NEW YORK – Bank President and CEO Donald E. Gibson and Chairman of the Board Jay Cahalan announced the appointment of Chris Cannucciari to the Greene County Bancorp, Inc. Board of Directors.
Mr. Cannucciari is succeeding Stephen Nelson, who announced his intention to retire from the Board of Directors earlier this year. Mr. Nelson had served on the Board of Directors since 2021, after retiring as Chief Lending Officer of the Bank of Greene County in 2020.
“We are excited to welcome Chris to our Board of Directors” said Gibson. “Chris brought invaluable insight to our Advisory Board, and we look forward to benefiting from his leadership and expertise as a Board Director.”
Jay Cahalan added “on behalf of the Bank and its Board, I’d like to join Don in welcoming Chris to the Board of Directors. We very much look forward to the skills and important business experience Chris will bring to the Board. I’d also like to thank Steve Nelson for his years of dedicated service to the Bank.”
Christopher Cannucciari is a partner at Lutz, Selig & Zeronda, CPAs, LLP. Mr. Cannucciari has been a member of The Bank of Greene County’s Advisory Board since 2013. Mr. Cannucciari is a Certified Public Accountant and Accredited in Business Valuation. Mr. Cannucciari earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Siena College and his Master of Business Administration in Public Accounting from the University of Rochester. He is very involved in the local community, and has been the Treasurer of the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce since 2022. Mr. Cannucciari is a past President of the Northeast Chapter of the New York State Society of CPA’s, and served as a Board Member from 2012-2018. He lives in Halfmoon with his wife and two children.

Greene County Bancorp, Inc. is the parent company of Bank of Greene County, a locally owned and operated community bank headquartered in Catskill, New York. This year, the Bank is celebrating its 135th anniversary.
