Donald E. Gibson, President & CEO of the Bank of Greene County, announced a newly created executive position in the Finance Department and a new VP, Controller.
Don Gibson stated “Due to the continued growth and success of the Bank, we have created a new executive position in our Finance Department, Vice President and Director of Finance. I am pleased to announce that Nick Barzee, CPA, who joined the Bank in 2021 as our Controller, has been promoted to this new role. I am also pleased to announce that Alicia Moir has joined the Bank as our VP, Controller. Alicia was most recently the VP, Controller of Salisbury Bank & Trust.”
Michelle Plummer, CPA & CGMA, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the Bank, also stated “Nick Barzee has done a great job as Controller and we are happy to offer him this promotion opportunity. We are also very excited to welcome Alicia Moir to the Bank and the Finance Team. Alicia has a strong background in internal controls and regulatory reporting, and we believe Alicia will add to our reputation of employing a highly skilled and experienced professional finance team.”
Prior to joining the Bank of Greene County in 2021, Nick Barzee worked as a Senior Manager with KPMG LLP in New York City and Albany, NY for over 12 years. Nick is a graduate of SUNY Oswego, and holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration. He resides in Burnt Hills, NY.
Alicia Moir has over 17 years of experience as VP, Controller in the Banking industry, having served in that capacity at both Walden Savings Bank and Salisbury Bank & Trust. Alicia is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz, and holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration. She resides in Red Hook, NY.
